Peacefully passed at home on December 1, 2022 at the age of 77, five years to the day of losing her beloved husband, John. Loving sister to Sue (Vito), amazing aunt to Eva (Jeff - deceased) and Clinton, awesome great-aunt to Aidan, Austin, Ryan and Nicole. Gail is predeceased by her siblings Barry, Terry and Kim. Will be sadly missed by all her caregivers, especially Melanie and Crystal.

Gail was born in Edmonton to Jim and Win (deceased) and lived her childhood on RCAF bases throughout Canada as an air force family until the family settled in Downsview, Ontario.

Gail worked at the Ministry of Transportation from the age of 18 for many years until her retirement.

Once they both retired, they travelled and enjoyed their cottage on Georgian Bay and their many pets (Daisy, Sabrina, Bobby, Holly and Chloe) through the years.

She was known in the community for her volunteer work and with the Barrie Garden Club. She had a vibrant personality and an infectious laugh and was loved by everyone she knew. She loved to craft, paint and decorate her home and cottage.

Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 from 12 pm until the time of Service inside the Chapel at 2 pm. In keeping with Gail’s wishes, a cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to Children's Wish or the charity of your choice.
