CHARLES, Gerald “Gerry”
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 15th, 2024 at the age of 79. Caring and devoted husband of Bonnie (nee MacPhail). Honoured father of Tim (Alicia), and Karen. Cherished grandfather of Devon, Madison, Gavin, Willow, Asher, and Finnley. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Irene Charles. Survived by his brother Ronald (Marion), sister Judith (Wolfgang), brothers-in-law Ian (Karen), and Hector, his aunt Doris, as well as his nieces and nephews. Gerry will be sadly missed by many long-time friends and colleagues in the Barrie area and through his 50-year career as the plant manager at Sinclair Radio Labs.
A celebration of life will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM, with Words of Remembrance to be shared at 11:30 AM. Following the gathering, interment will take place at Innisvale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe or the Canadian Lung Association and are greatly appreciated by the family.
