FUMO, Giovanni (Johnny) – Lover of family, food, and nature, passed peacefully in his sleep at Royal Victoria Hospital on April 4, 2015, in his 76th year. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and has left his mark on all those who knew him. His legacy as a landscaper of considerable repute remains with us in Barrie and Toronto, and his love of good food is legendary. He is survived by his caring wife Gina and loving children Domenic and Nina. He is predeceased by his parents Cristoforo Colombo Fumo and Maria Teresa Priamo Fumo. Dear brother of the late Graziella Fumo (Angelo Sestito), late Vincenzo Fumo (Teresina), late Domenico Fumo (Anna Elisa), late Roberto Fumo (late Victoria), late Antonio Fumo, Rosa Fumo-Rania (Lorenzo), late Elisa Fumo-Andreacchi (late Rocco), Peter Fumo (Linda Snell) and Giuseppina Cudini (Graziano). Johnny will always be remembered for his heart of gold and his true individual character. Friends and family may visit the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home at 201 Minets Point Road, Barrie on Friday April 10 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Church on Saturday morning, April 11, at 11 o'clock. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
