BROCK, Lillian Grace (nee Brown)
The family of Grace Brock is sad to announce her passing at Woods Park Nursing Home on August 21st, 2010. Beloved wife for 58 years of the late Bruce Brock ( 2009). Loving mother of Jim and his wife Martha, Judy and her husband Bob and Bill and his wife Sandra. Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Zoe and Aaron. Grace in her 100th year was always a woman ahead of her time. Upon graduating from the University of Toronto as an Occupational Therapist, she pursued her career in Toronto, Ottawa and Evansville Indiana and later came out of retirement to create the O.T. Department when the new wing of the RVH was built (c. 1970). She was active in the Gryphon Theatre, Inner Wheel & Children with Learning Disabilities. Her great love however, came from being Dad’s 1st mate in life and on the Marzipan and living in Shanty Bay with her 3 kids thriving around her. Mom you are an original and now you are back at Dad’s side cruising and having new adventures. Hugs forever !!!
Family and friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Wednesday August 25th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Shanty Bay.
