Our beloved mother, Grace Black, of Barrhead AB, formerly of Stroud ON, passed away peacefully with her family by her side December 15, 2013. Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Susan Oleskiw, Jean (Philip) Hendry and Ruth (Doug) Sawyer; grandchildren: Lorne (Jane) Fierbach, Rodney (Miriam) Fierbach, Kathryn (Chuck) Pederson, Kelly (Peter) Kenny, Jennifer Hendry, Christopher Hendry, Margaret (David) Grozelle, William (Robyn) Sawyer; 8 great grandchildren and her brother, Ernest Brown.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Herb; sisters Ruth and Irene, brothers Joseph and Clarence; brother-in-law Victor Turner and sister-in-law Pearl Brown. Grace taught school, was active in church and community, a life member of UCW, a beloved mother and grandmother, and friend to many. A Memorial Service will take place at St. James' United Church, 2230 Victoria St. W., Stroud, Ontario, on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 1:30 pm. Interment of cremated remains at St. James' Cemetery beside her husband. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James United Church, 2230 Victoria St. W. Innisfil, ON.
