Gates, Gregory
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory (Greg) Gates in his 61st year. The much loved husband of Joan (Soulliere) Gates and the proud father of Gary Gates and his girlfriend Nikita Kluge. He is survived by his brother John Gates and his wife Heather, and his uncle Howard Delderfield. His in laws Martha Jones, Ed Soulliere, Bill Soulliere and his wife Marion Blonde, Eugene (1995) Soulliere, Dick and Donna Soulliere, Jim and Teresa Soulliere, Janet and George Tancrede and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by parents Ernie(1988) and Bette(2010) Gates, and sister Leslee Gates(2010).

Greg and Joan were happily married for 38 years and Greg worked at Benjamin’s Park Memorial Chapel for the past 39 years.

Greg was a kind and generous man who always looked out for everyone, especially his family and friends. He was active with the Barrie Ball Hockey league as a referee and a friend to all.

Family and friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie, (705) 721-1211, on Monday, January 14, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The family will also receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home in Sarnia from 7-9 p.m., on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January, 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment to follow.

(Barrie) In lieu of flowers, donations may be forwarded to the RVH Dialysis unit and Jumpstart Canada. Condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com.
