Laird, Gwendolyn Marion
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Marion Laird on August 14, 2013, just shy of her 83rd birthday, after a year of health struggles.
Predeceased by her husband Harry Burns Laird (1990) and survived by her children Steven Laird (Catherine), Catherine Laird (Adrian Knaud) and Barbara Dobreen (Allen). Loved by her grandsons, Michael (Connie), Adam (Erin), David, Matthew and Jeffrey and great grandchildren Breanne McKenzie, Haily, Jack, and Aiden.
Gwen will be missed by her many cousins, nieces and nephews and all those she built friendships with through her career at Tambrands, the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 147) and the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Barrie Chapter.
Family and friends will be received from 11am to 1pm and then join in a Celebration of Life and share their stories on August 18 at 1 pm at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minets Point Road, Barrie (705-721-1211). A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 147 at 410 St. Vincent Street (Cundles & Ferris Lane), Barrie. Donations would be greatly appreciated to the R.C.L. Branch #147.
