Passed away surrounded by his family at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Saturday February 28, 2015 in his 67th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Lorraine for 42 years. Sadly missed and forever remembered by his children Kurt, Brett and Krista. Proud and loving Grandpa of Lucas and Mattea. Sadly missed by extended family and many dear friends. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie on Tuesday March 3rd 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm. A celebration of Hayes' life will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday March 4th starting at 2 pm. Visitation from 1 pm. Burial will take place in the spring at Spence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hayes' memory may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Hearts and Minds Campaign and are greatly appreciated.
