DAY, Hazel June (nee Hildebrand)
Passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, on Friday, April 29th, 2011. Hazel Day, of Barrie, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Roy Laverne Day. Dear mother of Roy of Cookstown; Lynda (Ken) Young of Elora; Cathy (Don) Stortz of Welland; Cheryl (the late Wayne) New of Oro Station; Wes (Rose) of Barrie; and Bruce of Port Alberni B.C.. Cherished grandmother of Shirley (Pascal), Steven( Lynda), Jaime (T.J.), Jeremy, Matthew, Jeffrey and Alex and great grandmother of Chellsie, Kody, Keegan and Abby. Hazel will be missed by her brother and sister in law Douglas and Bev Hildebrand and by her many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie (705) 721-9921 on Tuesday, May 3, at 11 AM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Morin and the Nurses and Staff of 3NB at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their care and kindness of their mother during her illness.
