Trebelco, “Helen” (1918-2014)

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother in her 96th year made her transition at Mill Creek Care Centre on June 10th, 2014 surrounded by family, nursing staff and friends. Helen was married to the love of her life, the late William Arthur Ford Trebelco for 55 years. Loving mother to son John Trebelco (the late Lori) and daughter Joan Duffy (the late John). Cherished grandmother to Artis Duffy Crawford (Jim), Bill Duffy, John Trebelco, and Steven Trebelco. Step-grandmother to Leanne Alexander and Michael Page (Chrissy). Great-grandmother to Vanessa Hewson (Mitch), Ariel (Chuck), Evan Crawford and Kailey, Kira, and Matthew Trebelco. Step-great-grandmother to Ethan and Mackenzie Alexander. Helen will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Helen was predeceased by her parents Annie and Alfred Burton, her sisters Florence Moore and Alfreda MacPherson, and brothers Gerald, Macintyre, Jack, and Donald (infant). Helen worked in the Bank of Commerce in Woodville (1958-1976), was involved in the United Church and community, and enjoyed fun and relaxation with Ford in Florida for over 20 years. She was an avid bridge and bid euchre player, curler, golfer, and “jumble and crossword” whiz! A special thanks to the Mill Creek Care Centre nursing staff and ground floor PSWs, especially during Helen's last days. Family and friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, 201 Minet's Point Road, Barrie Ontario (705)721-9921 on Saturday June 14th starting at 12pm until the time we celebrate her life in the chapel at 1pm. Interment at Smith's Cemetery, Woodville on Monday June 16th at 1pm. If desired, memorial donations to the MS Society or to the foundation of your choice are appreciated by the family.
