Peacefully at her home in Barrie on Monday August 8, 2011 in her 96th year. Herta (nee Mellion) beloved wife of the late Jack Traub. Survived by her brother Hugo Mellion and his family. Loving mother of Annette Richardson (John) and Tony Traub (Wendy). Cherished grandmother of Philip (Norma), Lisa (Ulrik), Stephen (Demetra), Jennifer (Doug), Kathryn, Amanda (Rob) and great grandmother of Shirley, Recca, John, James, Jacob, Katrine, William, Andrew, Izzy, Paige and Quinn. A private family service was held. A celebration of Herta's life will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 2 until 5 pm at the MacLaren Art Centre at 37 Mulcaster Street in Barrie, L4M 3M2 (705-720-1044). Relatives and friends are invited to join us for this gathering. The family would like to express their thanks to Herta's friends and caregivers for their care and compassion.
