ORCHARD Hilda (nee Pickering)
Died peacefully surrounded by her family, at the Georgian Bay General Hospital (Formerly Huronia District Hospital), Midland on January 20, 2010 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Alfred Orchard. Loving mother of Lynn (Stan Thomson) of Stroud; Jim Orchard of Toronto; and Lois (Barry Delaforce) of Barrie. Proud Grandmother of Cheryl, Mark, Michael, Kim and Colin, and Great Grandma of Delaney, Leigh, Kaiya, Rius and Ainslee. She will also be missed by her nieces, special sister-in-law Janet Orchard, and by her many card playing friends. Friends will be received on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie (705-721-1211). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. A private cremation will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Georgian Bay General Hospital would be appreciated.
