NEALON, Ialeen (nee Murphy)
Passed peacefully at the Coleman Care Centre, Barrie on February 28, 2020 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Michael in 1980 and by her daughter Carol (Dave) in 2016. Cherished mother of Jim (Diane), Diane (Steve), Tom (Marilyn), June (Steve), Kevin (Cheryl), Ken (Kathy), JoAnn (Berni), Mick (Lindsay) and Kim. Sister of Doreen Sturdevan and sister-in-law of Maryanne “Molly” Nealon. Loving Nanny to 30 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Ialeen and Mike miraculously and lovingly raised ten children in a small home in Scarborough. Ialeen worked as a nurse’s aid at Providence Villa in Scarborough for many years before reluctantly retiring at the age of 67.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, March 5th, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Friday, March 6th at 1:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home. Interment at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill.
