HUTCHINGS, INA DIANE (Nee Winter)
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 15th at 2:30 p.m., at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario, in her 74th year. Born in St. John's Newfoundland to Marmaduke and Jean Winter, Diane was wife to Trevor Hutchings from 1956 to 1973. Loving mother to the late Elizabeth Hopps and husband Bill, grandmother to Martha, Chris and Hilary. Also, a loving mother to Sue Kay and husband Terry and “Nannie” to Hayley and Duncan. Loving cousin to Sally and Tom LeFeuvre and David and Fran Campbell and dearest life long friend to Margaret Stephens, Diana James and many others. “Dee” will be sadly missed but remembered by many for her compassion, sense of humour and devotion. Dee worked with CBC in her early career then became a devoted mother and was a legal secretary for Addy & Addy in Toronto and later the Assessment offices for the city of Etobicoke. Dee found here greatest peace at the cottage “Up at Ours” near Minden and in 1998 retired to Barrie to be close to family. Here, she devoted much of her time to volunteering at the Royal Victoria Hospital and being an active member of Probis, her Bridge Club and Aqua Fit. Our hearts go out to all that shared in her life. The family wishes to invite family and friends to join in a celebration of Dee's life on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the family residence.
