Passed away peacefully at Granite Ridge Retirement Residence, Gravenhurst on February 23, 2026 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Ernst Weiher. Loving mother of Tony Weiher (Darlene), Glenn Weiher (Mary), Joyce Truman, and Peter Weiher (Connie Paquette).
Proud grandmother of Tabitha Weiher (Bill), Clinton Weiher, Kristin, Patrick Weiher, Daniel Weiher, Georgina “Ginny Moodie (Brian), Micheal Weiher (Miranda Squires), Joseph Alzner, Martha Moore (Wally), Elizabeth Roblin (John), Jordan Rows and Miley.
Great grandmother of Thanos Katsoulis, Leo Katsoulis, Aries Katsoulis, Archer Katsoulis, Kori Smith, Ethan Moodie, Kylie Roblin and Kaitlyn Roblin.
Irmgard was known to her friends and family as “Irene” – after the song, “Good Night, Irene”. She was born in Hamburg Germany to parents August and Hedwig Wenkel (nee Buttner) and had a sister named Ingeburg and brother named Horst. Irmgard married Ernst in England and they emigrated to Canada in 1956. In addition to being an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she enjoyed many responsibilities throughout her employment at Rideau United Church in Ottawa, Camp Tawingo in Huntsville, and finally Grandview until her retirement. She was loved and cherished.
