Peacefully on March 19, 2011 at the Grove Park Nursing Home surrounded by his loving children. Beloved husband of the late Edna Victoria Engel. Loving father of Jim (Mary), David (Lorna), Katherine (Robert Belisle), Bill (Ruth) and John (Lisa). Cherished grandfather of Khrisstina, Jason (Morgen), Graham, Owen, Lauren, Katrina and Caitlin. Beloved brother of Howard (Rosaleen), Rex (Penny), Olive Fitzsimmons (the late Jack Hall), Margaret Keeling (the late Rod Keeling). Pre deceased by his sisters Grace McCharles and Ruth Engel. Brother-in-law of Annie Linn (the late Bill Linn), Frances McRae (the late Graham McRae), Janet and Keith Gark, Marylou Majury (the late Lorne Majury) and the late Fred and Linda McRae. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. As a dedicated member of Grace United Church, James would request in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Grace United Church Special Memorial and Gift Fund. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Home (Clapperton and Worsley St.), Barrie on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held from Grace United Church, Barrie on Tuesday 11:00 a.m. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery will take place at a later date.
