In Loving Memory of Jim Magner
November 14, 1955 -December 7, 2020
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather (Pops) and brother. Jim (James Michael Frederick Magner), was born in Toronto at St. Joseph's Hospital the evening of Monday, November 14th, 1955 to Norma Magner (nee Thomas) deceased and James Magner deceased. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife Lynn; his sons, Paul (Kelsea) and Patrick; his sister, Elizabeth Magner (David Martin); his brother Ron Magner (Paticia Chatzis) and his granddaughters, Isabella and Olivia Rooney-Magner. He was able to retire early 6 years ago and then to relax and enjoy being with family and friends. He loved cruising with Lynn in his red sports car, watching classic movies, listening to music, especially Elvis, the Blues and Classical Rock and playing board games and cards. His family was the centre of his life and being a wonderful cook he loved preparing big family meals. These were memorable times of feasting and laughing and just being happy to be together sharing our love for each another. A celebration of Jim's life will take place once Covid restrictions are lifted and it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers at the family request donations be made in Jim's memory to the Barrie Food Bank, barriefoodbank.org or to your local food bank. Private messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.steckleygooderham.com
