Lamarche, Janice (nee Cox)
Peacefully surrounded by her family at Hospice Simcoe on Sunday March 13th, 2016, in her 61st
year. Treasured wife of John Lamarche. Sadly missed by her daughter Rochelle Lamarche.
Always loved and will be remembered by her brothers Fred Cox (Stephanie), John Cox (Roberta),
William Cox (Marnie), as well as her sister-in-law Sylvia Gauthier (Ron), and brother-in-law’s Art
Lamarche (Audrey), and Phil Lamarche (Carole). Proud aunt and great-aunt of many. Janice
was predeceased by her parents Mary Cox and Jack Marks, as well as her brother-in-law
Maurice Lamarche (Jeanne), and sister-in-law Bernice Lamarche (Andy). Family and friends will
be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on
Sunday March 20th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A celebration of her life be held in the
chapel on Monday March 21st, at 11am. Visitation from 10 am. The family would like to take this
opportunity to thank the staff and doctors at Princess Margaret Hospital, as well as everyone at
the Royal Victoria Hospital Oncology Unit. Special Thank You to Dr. Douglas B. Collins for all of
his support and guidance. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janice’s memory may be made to The
Princess Margaret Hospital – Phase 1 Clinical Trials. The service will be available to view online
