O’KEEFE, Jean Frances (nee Hennessy)
Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa, on April 26thh, 2022 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her beloved husband William O’Keefe and her daughter Janet, and son Michael. Honoured mother of Sandra, Susan (Terry), Joanne (Eric), and Ruth (Peter). Cherished grandma to Donald, Kimberly, Melanie, Joshua, Brian, Aimee and Eric. Great grandma to Addison, Mason, Brody, and Lucy.
Jean was born in the small town of Haileybury, Ontario and was one of six children. She married “Willie” at the age of 16 and had been together 47 years at the time of his passing. All who knew Jean were well aware of both her ‘feisty’ nature and the deep love she held for her family -- there was never any doubt as to where a person stood in her mind. Many laughs and many losses have been shared together as a family. With this one though, comes the knowledge that Jean is at peace and will suffer no more.
A memorial service was held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Cremation has taken place and Jean’s urn will be buried next to Willie at York Cemetery.
