Wright, Joan (nee Stevens)
Passed away peacefully at home in Ivy on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at age 72. Predeceased by her husband Ken Wright. Loving mother of Judi (Jim) Hoskins and Steve (Nodjame) Wright. Beloved grandmother of Barry, Donald and Alexander. Dear partner to Larry Larmer and friend to his five children and eight grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Lois Anne (Lee) Brebner, and her cherished family of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joan was a long-time teacher at Innisfil Central Public School, a dedicated volunteer at RVH, a member of the Oro and Innisfil Skating Clubs and a member of the Ivy Presbyterian Church.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, 201 Minets Point Road, Barrie on Sunday August 24th 2014 from 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Joan's life will take place the following day, Monday August 25th, in the chapel of the funeral home starting at 11 am. Interment will take place on Tuesday in the family plot in Lanark Township at 2 pm.
