Coward, Joan (nee Hood)
Peacefully surrounded by her family at the I.O.O.F. Seniors home, Barrie on August 16th 2014. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Coward. Dear mother of Terry Coward (Eileen), Robin MacIsaac ( late Eddy), and Vicky Sist (late Dennis). Survived by sister Gwenneth Buker (Glen). Proud Gram of Jamie (Nichole), Larry, Erin (Steve), Damian (Michelle), Dawn (Jean), Melena (Aaron), and Mandy (Justin). Great GG of Laurin, Kharessa, Cailin, Tommy, Clayton, Hayden, Noah, Maxim, Elliott, Lewis, Eleanor, Arthur and Etta. Sadly missed by many other dear family members and friends. Friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday August 20th 2014 from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 pm. A service celebrating Joan's life will take place at St. Johns Anglican Church in Craighurst, Ontario on Thursday August 21st starting at 1 pm. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada and are greatly appreciated.
