Peacefully surrounded by his family at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Tuesday November 18th, 2014, in his 87th year. Dearly beloved husband of Marjory (nee Arbuckle). Loving father of Joyce Nielen-Tropf (Herbert), and Robert Nielen (Yvonne). Proud grampa of Connor and Joshua. John is the last of 8 children, who were all born in Holland. Sadly missed by many dear family members in both Canada and abroad. Friends may call at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Road, Barrie on Sunday November 23rd from 1pm – 4pm. Additional visitation on Monday November 24th from 10am until the time of the service in the chapel at 11am.
