O’KURILY, John (Member of the R.C.A.F. WWII)
Passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009. John O’Kurily, of Barrie, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Anne. Dear father of Patricia and Roy. Cherished grandfather of Aaron, Adam, Christina and Lisa. Will be missed by his brothers Paul, Peter and Nick and sisters; Carrie, Rosie and Helen. John is predeceased by his 6 brothers and sisters. John is a veteran of WWII, 413 Squadron, Royal Canadian Airforce. The family will receive friends at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, 721-9921, on Friday, October 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie, on Saturday at 10 o’clock. Interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery to follow. If desired, in lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukranian Church – John O’Kurily Fund would be appreciated by the family.
