The family of John Van Mazyk are mourning the loss of our husband, father, brother,
grandfather and great grandfather. John, 86, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in
Barrie, Ontario. He was born July 1, 1930 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. John enjoyed
painting, carving, and music all to the glory of his Saviour, Jesus. Beloved husband of 62 years
to Rita (“Riek”) Van Mazyk. Loving father to Janet, Doreen (Denis) and John (Angela). Proud
Opa to 8 (8) grandchildren and Great Opa to 10 great grandchildren. He is survived by loving
brother Theo and in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. First Christian
Reformed Church of Barrie (33 Shirley Ave) will be hosting the visitation on Friday, July 29th
