HOLDEN, John Walter –
Passed away suddenly on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Georgian Bay General Hospital at the age of 81. Loving husband of Joan Mary Holden. Beloved father of John Alexander Holden (Janet Lee-Holden) and Stephanie Wood. Cherished granddad to Dylan, Taylor and Joshua Wood, and doting papa to Victoria and Larissa Holden. Dear brother of Irene Walker and Helen Krisman. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and by Dusty.
Friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie, on Friday, February 8, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Interment in Barrie Union Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
