Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 9, 2019 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Rita for 60 years. Loving father of Monique Parker (Hal), Anthony LaVerdiere, Jeanette Savage (Steve), Bernadette Banman (Jared) and the late Joe Henry LaVerdiere Jr. Dear poppy of Amanda, Rebecca, Victoria, David, Stacey, and great poppy of Josh, Emma, Vincent, and two on the way. Brother of Richard LaVerdiere (Shirley). Joseph will also be missed by many nieces, nephew, and extended family and friends. Friends were received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley St. on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 13, 2019 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St. at 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
