Hollinger: Joseph Rodgers

Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Friday April 9, 2010 in his 92nd year. Rodgers was the beloved husband of Yvonne. Loving father of Dr. Bryan (Julie) of Barrie and Sharon Dollar (Brian) of North Bay. Predeceased by his son Dr. Todd Hollinger (Trish) of Amherstburg. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jeff Dollar (Tanya), Dean Hollinger (Brandi), Stacey Nadeau (Dave), Megan Hollinger, Lindsey Hollinger and great grandchildren Kealy, Jake, Isaac, Reagan, and Nathan. Predeceased by his brothers Harold and Bernard, and by his sister Margaret. He is survived by his sister Mary Johnson (Don). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Rodgers was a WWII Veteran with the Royal Canadian Air Force 424 Squadron. His career spanned 43 years with Dominion Stores. Rodgers was a long time member of the Oddfellows (68 years), and a past president and charter member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St.) Barrie from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m . Sunday. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday April 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
