Dawney, Josephine “Jo” Valentine
Peacefully passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Friday, January 30th, 2015, just shy of her 89th birthday. Beloved wife of Lionel. Dear mother of Gail Douglas (Chris), Gwen Dermott-Ainscough (Craig) (late Randy), and Brian Dawney (Debbie). Proud grandma “Jo” of Tammy, John, Brad, Nathan, Tyler, Kyle and Kelan, as well as great grandma to 6. Survived by brother Henry Nevils (Shirley), and Sinclair Nevils (Evelyn). Predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. “Valentine’s day has never been a traditional day in our family, it’s always been mom’s birthday. This year it will not be the same. Our Valentine is now in heaven with no pain or worries. Know mom that we will take care of dad. We love you. You will be forever in our hearts and are very much a part of us. Until we meet again...” Family and friends will be received at St. Johns Anglican Church, 29 Church Street, Cookstown, Ontario on Wednesday February 4, 2015 from 11am. until the time we celebrate her life at 12 noon.
