WATSON, Judy
Passed away very peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on March 18, 2010 at the age of 68. Beloved mother of Glen (Toko) and Frances (David) and loving Nana to her precious Shyla. Judy will be dearly missed by her twin sister Jane Caspi of Newmarket, husband Bud Watson of Wasaga Beach and brother Fred Watson of Cambridge. She is pre-deceased by brothers Doug and Peter, as well as parents Frank and Pauline. She was a dear friend with a tremendous sense of humour, as well as a loving aunt to her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Judy was extremely dedicated to various organizations throughout the years, including Georgian College, the Simcoe County School Board, MacLaren Art Centre, the Wendy Hicks music theatre programme, Gryphon Theatre, her condominium board, Elections Canada, the NDP and several others. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of life will be arranged by the family for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilda’s Club in Barrie or to the Royal Victoria Hospital Regional Cancer Care Centre. Online condolences may be forwarded to the family at www.steckleygooderham.com.

Hi, this is Glen.
WOW, you're all quite wonderful people!
Thanks very much from all of us for all your hugs, kind words, funny stories, photos, advice, help, friendship and love. You've made us feel especially proud and honoured. She really was a great lady.

A celebration of her amazing journey through life will take place on:
Wednesday April 7, 2010
from 5-9pm
MacLaren Art Centre
downtown Barrie
(37 Mulcaster, near City Hall. Big parking lot at supermarket)

There will be light snacks and a bar. I'm hoping it will be like an intermission at the theatre, the opening of an art exhibit, a cocktail party, and/or a cast and crew closing party. I think you get the idea. Let's enjoy ourselves and celebrate being family and friends with such a special person!

Info and directions can be found here: www.maclarenart.com

There is an online condolences page at: www.steckleygooderham.com

In lieu of flowers, Judy and her family would appreciate it very much if you made a donation in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society or, especially, Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka in Barrie (yet to open, Gilda's is also where she wants to donate much of her art collection). There are links below if you wish to make a donation or learn more about Gilda's Club.

We would also like it if you wrote down your favourite Judy story, or stories, and e-mail or post to us SOON. Photos are also welcome (high-resolution, if possible).

Thanks again for all of your support!

BUD, GLEN, FRANCES, SHYLA and DAVID
