Peacefully, while surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at the age of 77. Loving wife and best friend of Duncan for 57 years. Honoured mother of Judy Carvajal (George) and Dawn Godfrey. Cherished grandmother of Jessalyn, Alyssa and Cheyanne. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Dora Trost, and sister Doreen. Will be sadly missed by her sister Gwen Baughman (Scott) as well as her nieces, nephews and many life-long friends. A celebration of Julie’s life will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 2 – 4 pm. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and caring 1st Floor staff at the Mill Creek Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mill Creek or Parkinsons Barrie would be greatly appreciated by the family.
