June will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

June was a teacher and taught at Johnson Street School before pausing her career to raise her children and later returned to teaching at the Adult Occupation Centre in Edgar and then to the Barrie Literacy Council. June enjoyed flowers, gardening, oil painting and she gave her time generously to the community serving as a Sunday School Teacher, 4-H leader, Clowes Women’s Institute Member, and was on the Home & School Board to name but a few of her activities. June, a committed Christian, loved her family, Church, and community.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 7 – 9 PM and on Thursday, February 9 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM.  A reception gathering will follow in the Lounge

If desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Life 100.3, the West Oro Baptist Cemetery Board, or a charity of choice in memory of June.

The family wishes to thank the Staff at Wood’s Park Care Centre for the excellent care that June received over the last few years where she was affectionately called their “June bug”.
