ROSE, June
Passed away on December 7, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Robbie” (Rob) Rose (July 2008). Born in Montreal to parents from England; the late Norman S. Snowdon and Mary Snowdon-Simpson. Loving mother to her special son Scott (Tammi) of Barrie. Dear Nana to Scotty, Tristan, and Lauren -- all of whom were adored. Loving sister of Dave (Val), and predeceased by her sisters May (at 4 years of age), Vera (Irving), Ella (Bill), and brothers Don (surviving wife Simonne), Norman (Eleanor), and Kenneth (Nellie). Sister-in-law to Doreen (the late George Stiles and his former wife Cathy). Loving Aunt and Godmother to Colleen (Mike), and Gary (Donna). Aunt also to so many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; Sharon (Mathew), Brian, Jimmy (Barb), Gordon (Myrna), Judy (Mike), Debbie (the late Larry), Craig (Sue), Phil (Rema and his former wife Verlie), Eric, Danny (Sveta), Derek, Diane, Elyse (Denis), Ronnie, Alan, the late David, Billie, and their wives and children. Aunt also to nieces and nephews on the Rose side; Dorothy, Beverley, Donna, Shirley, Kenny, Ronnie, their spouses and children, and the late Johnny. She will be missed by her friends in Montreal, Sarnia, Michigan, and Barrie.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and on Thursday, December 14 from 10 AM until the time we celebrate June’s life in the Chapel at 11 AM. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the Lounge. Interment will take place at the Brampton Meadowvale Cemetery on Friday, December 15 at 12:30 PM.
If desired, donations in June’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated by the family.
