Williamson, Kenneth Earl ( retired O.P.P. officer after 32 years of service)
An avid outdoorsman, Ken passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Sunday, December 23, 2012, in his 92nd year. Ken Williamson, who grew up in Watford, Ontario was the beloved husband for 66 years of the late Verna (nee Corbett). Loved father of Dean (Debbie) Williamson of Churchill and Laura (Brian) Miller-Tremblay of Barrie. Cherished “Pop” of Heath (Chris) and Hoyt (Marjorie) Miller; Grant (Tanya), Scott (Teena) and Kevin Williamson and proud Great “Poppy” of Madalynn, Noah, Grace, Emma and Jase. Dear brother of Helen Crandon, Carl Williamson and the late Alan and Vern. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends Brian and Marg Baker of Innisfil. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 1 pm followed by interment at 6th Line Cemetery, Innisfil.
