It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Patrick Krelove on February 7, 2026, at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario, surrounded by his loving parents and siblings. He was 44 years old.
Born on March 17, 1981 — a true St. Patrick’s Day baby — Kevin carried that same vibrant spirit throughout his life. He was known for his infectious laugh, his love of music and dancing, and his ability to light up any room he entered. Kevin had a heart of gold and a gift for making others feel supported, celebrated, and deeply valued. If you had Kevin in your life, you had a loyal friend and an unwavering cheerleader.
Kevin is survived by his devoted parents, Judy and Glenn; his beloved siblings, Cory (Melissa), Katie (Hamid), Ryan, Peter, and Jessica (Patrick); and his cherished nieces and nephews, Jack, Jay, Quinn, Regan, and Clark. He was especially proud to serve as godfather to Regan. Kevin also leaves behind his beloved dog, Bosley, who brought him immense joy.
Kevin was a talented chef and the General Manager at Montana’s, where he built lasting friendships and took great pride in leading his team and serving his community. His warmth, humour, and generosity left a lasting impression on colleagues and guests alike.
Kevin will be remembered for his loyalty, his laughter, his generous spirit, and the immense love he gave so freely. His absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff at Royal Victoria Hospital for their compassion and care.
Funeral Mass will take place at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Friday, February 13th, 2026 at 10 am. Reception will take place following the Mass inside the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Barrie Food Bank.
