Memories and family stories: Grandfather will always be remembered as being the loudest Santa, with the best lobsters and warmest, love filled family Christmases. Every grandchild left with gifts and a sense of love that will last a lifetime. Every holiday with Leonardo was spent with family, loved ones and friends. He and Lina continuously made sure everyone felt welcomed and loved, with open arms and a place at the table. Even though he had many grown children and grandchildren, Leonardo was always a father to all, teaching respect, kindness and the value of family. Leonardo and Lina had many great memories in Florida, their second home, where they escaped the winters, but always returned in time for Christmas. As their custom, they always encouraged and welcomed family and friends to join them while in Florida, making it a second home to many. Both Lina and Leonardo were generous, giving in many ways and only taking love in return. They showed those close to them what it meant to be loved and apart of a family.
If desired, donations in Leonardo's memory may be made to Parkinson Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated by the family.
