Davies, Lesley Marie (nee Milcoy) - Passed away suddenly in Tarpon Springs, Florida on January 27, 2014, in her 63rd year. Treasured wife of Martin Davies, their love for each other was an inspiration to many. Proud mother to Richard Wilson, Lisa Peverill (Mark), Kenneth Davies (Jennifer) and Sarah Radovan (Rock). Lesley joins our family angels, being predeceased by her daughter Shelley Wilson and her grandson Mitchell Wilson. Nana will always be remembered as fun-loving, with a knack for great story-telling to Jessica Peverill, Hudson Davies, Maks Radovan, Jaxson Davies, Zala Radovan and Harrison Davies. Lesley is survived by her siblings Andy Milcoy (Hazel), Alison Milcoy and Jay Milcoy (Andrea). Lesley was a loving aunt to Maddy and Keegan. Lesley leaves behind many close friends that she considered an extension of her family.

Lesley was a creative soul to the core. She could command a stage, sing her heart out, and write words that touched your heart. Her story was always unfolding in a dynamic and spontaneous way. It was never about the jobs that she had, the places she went or the things that she did, it was about the people that touched her, and that she touched, along the way. Lesley had a zest for life that made her a kindred spirit and loved by many. Lesley's personality was as bright and colourful as her fingernails and her wardrobe.
Even though she was taken from us too soon, Lesley lived a full life, a life full of adventure. She loved to get involved. Even in retirement, Lesley found herself the president on every board that was associated with her life. But Lesley's true joy came from giving to others and she was passionate about teaching remedial reading to grade one English language learners at Lely Elementary School in Naples. Lesley did all these things and more. She was in her element spending the day on the golf course, being a savvy business woman, cooking extravagant and delicious meals, traveling to exotic destinations and attending fancy black tie events.

Friends are welcome to join our family in celebrating Lesley's life at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, Ontario on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that bright coloured clothes be worn in her honour. Memorial donations can be made to Women and Children Crisis Centre in Barrie.

Lesley, we raise our glass to you. Our wife, mother, stepmother, nana, sister, auntie and treasured friend.
