It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Farrell (nee Lyons) after a courageous battle with cancer.
A true lady; gentle, kind and generous of spirit she was the epicentre of her family. She built her legacy by living a life focused on her husband, her children, her pets and her beautiful gardens. She was a community volunteer in both Montreal and Barrie where she delighted in helping others. Linda was a giver and a nurturer and asked for nothing in return.
Beloved wife of Ron, she leaves to mourn her children, Chris (Sandra), Elizabeth (Adam), Amanda (Sean ) and her precious granddaughter Danica. She also leaves her sister Heather (John) and her brother Carl and many nephews and nieces.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minets Point Rd., Barrie (705-721-1211), from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday February 20th, 2014. Complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 21st, 2014 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie or Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated.
