Ellis, Lois Irene (Delaney)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 25, 2017. Lois was the wife and best friend of the late John Ellis. Devoted daughter of Jerald and Doris Delaney. Loving mother to Gail Doherty (Paul), Terry (Carol), and Karen Scharfenberg (Peter). Special grandma to Mike, Scott, Christopher, Erik, Tyler, Dana, Brandon, Grant and Kendra. Great Granny to Charlotte, Hunter, Olivia, Jack, Lily, Jackson, Logan, Alex, Zachary and Leah. Dear sister to Freda Spearing (David), the late Louise Simon (Allan), Ruby Bjarnason (Larry) and Wayne Delaney. Treasured sister-in law of Margaret Weiland (Vern) and Mary Hirons (Jack). Lois’s wit and compassion will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Guests will be received for visitation at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday October 28, from 2 to 4 pm. A celebration of her life will take place the next day, Sunday, in the chapel of the funeral home starting at 1pm. Visitation from 12 pm. Following the service a reception will follow at Ferndale Banquet Hall 24 Ferndale Industrial Drive in Barrie.
