February 25, 1943 – July 24, 2014
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at RVH, Barrie after an 8 ½ year battle with cancer.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Bill and their children, Bill (Tracy), Debbie (Pat), and Brad (Anita); and her grandchildren, Kyle, Miranda, Nikki, Joseph, Austin, Janine, Ashley, Kyle, Brieonna, Alexandra. Also her great grandson Shea.
Lorna is also survived by her siblings, Harold (Candyce) Chipchase (Calgary), Brian (Joanne) Chipchase (High River), Bonnie (Hugh English) Blakely (Medicine Hat) and Bev (Sue) Chipchase (Calgary).
Lorna was predeceased by her parents, Ross & Betty Chipchase, Bill’s parents, Osborne & Eunice White and her (adopted) parents Ab & Hilda Coxhead, as well as numerous other family members.
Lorna was born in RVH Barrie, Ontario and lived on the farm at Everrett, ON, until Ross & Betty purchased the farm near Thornton. She attended school at SS#6 Essa and then Barrie Central Collegiate. She worked at Lufkin Rule and then for 391/2 years at Kolmar before retiring in 2007.
Friends and family may call at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street Barrie on Wednesday July 30th from 1pm until the time of the service in the chapel at 2pm, followed by a reception.
