HALKES, Lorraine Marion (nee Holtom)
Passed away on Monday, October 26th, 2009. Lorraine Halkes, of Snow Valley, in her 75th year. Beloved wife of William (Bill) Halkes. Cherished mother of Cheryll (Gordon) Carruthers of Moonstone, Bill (Carolanne) Halkes of Dalston, Linda (Brian) Smith of Snow Valley. Much adored Grandma “Bama†of Jaimie (Joe) Silk, Stephanie Carruthers, Willie (Charly) Halkes, Adam (Lisa) Smith and Karen (Doug) Dinniwell. Loving Great-Grandma “Nannie Raine†to Tyler and Carley Silk. Dear sister of Catherine (Tony) Blotti and sister in law of Shirley Holtom. Lorraine will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ross and Maude Holtom and by her brother Kenneth. The family will receive friends at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, 721-9921, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.
