WEBB, Luella Jean: May 14 1926 – June 3 2009
Passed suddenly but peacefully at her home.
Loved aunt of Ken and Linda Webb and Brett and Linda Sutherland. Cherished great aunt of Kathryn, Elizabeth (Jon), and Christopher Webb and Brian, Ian (Linda) Sutherland. She will also be missed by her dear friend, Sylvia Earl, who was like a devoted sister to her. Jean enjoyed a career as an inspiring and respected teacher. She retired from teaching at Eastview Secondary School. She had the soul of an artist and could work magic with colour in the quilts she lovingly made for her family and friends. She provoked creativity in those who were privileged to know her and she loved the serenity of living on the shores of Lake Simcoe.
The family will celebrate her life at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minets Point, Barrie (705) 721-1211 on Thursday June 11th. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service is at 3:00 p.m. o’clock followed immediately by a reception. In lieu of flowers, an unexpected act of kindness to anyone in need, or an act of preservation for Lake Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
