Following a short battle with cancer, Lynda passed away at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario on Thursday May 3, 2012 in her 73rd year. She was surrounded by her loving family and has joined her beloved husband Gerry(2001). Cherished mother of Michelle and Doug (Keenie), Gerry and Lucia, Cheryl and Randy (Fournier). Dear sister to Joan (Andy), Glenna (Derek), Bill (Diane), Kathy (Jim), Rob (Nancy) and Julie (James). Dear sister in law to her extended family in Holland, Joop (Molly), Will, Fred, Charlotte (Peter), Marcel (Elly), Annelies, Bert (Ineke). Dear Nanny to Marie, Stefan, Ryan, Shauna, Cailyn, Jessica, Caroline, and Victoria. Great grandmother to Elaina. We would like to thank Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Hospice Simcoe and Dr. Collins for the exemplary care during this difficult time. Friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd. Barrie, Ontario on Wednesday May 9, 2012 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the Chapel on Thursday May 10, 2012 at 2 pm. Memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe and the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Cancer Care Centre would be appreciated.
