Unexpectedly passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Paul (2018). Loving mother of Timothy Forbes (Aurelia). Cherished grandmother of Kristopher, Katie (Natalie), Jordan (Laurel) and great grandmother of Ava, Stella and Liam. Will be sadly missed by her brother David King.
Peggy owned and worked at Midhurst Roofing alongside her late husband, Paul Forbes. In their retirement, Peggy and Paul loved to travel and experience new places. On occasion, they would be found trying their luck on slots at a casino. Peggy was a kind and thoughtful person who will certainly be missed by those who loved her.
Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to take place the following day on August 2nd, 2024 at 11 am in the Chapel. Guests are invited to remain following the service for a reception in the lower lounge. Interment at Stayner Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Street Cats Animal Rescue or to Furry Friends Barrie would be greatly appreciated by the family.
