Marilyn Carman, formerly Boyd, (nee Reid). A beloved wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother, passed away suddenly on June 18, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born on February 21, 1943.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 29 years Alex. She also leaves behind her daughter, Cheryl Kidman, stepdaughter Josee Dixon and granddaughters, Kendra Kidman, Erika Dixon and Nakita Dixon-Merante (Eugenio). Marilyn is pre-deceased by her sister Carol Comer (Robert) and will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law, nieces and nephew.

She was a long-time employee of Hydro One, before retiring in 1993. She was a former member of the Essa Road Presbyterian Church W.A. & St. Andrews WMS

Marilyn will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of compassion and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation to take place June 24, 2024 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held on June 25, 2024 at 11:00am, at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home 30 Worsley St, Barrie ON L4M1L4. Interment Knox’ Presbyterian Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.
