Peacefully passed away at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia, on Friday, February 7, 2014, in his 97th year. Martin, beloved husband of Jacoba (nee Hesen). Loving father of Tina Palmer (Douglas), Mary Fernandez (José), Ellen Rastas (Paul) and Ben Poels (Anne). Cherished grandfather of Carolyne, Geoffrey (Tania), Kristina (Ryan), Daniel and Gregory (predeceased) and great grandfather of Owen, Jake, Grace and Tyler. Predeceased by his 3 brothers and 1 sister in Holland. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews here and in Holland. A funeral mass will be held at Guardian Angels Church. 115 West St. N., Orillia, on Friday, February 14, 2014, at 1:30pm. A private interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Barrie.
