MIDWOOD, MARY AGNES ANNIE (nee. SCOTT)
August 7, 1924 – February 23, 2013

Mary Midwood, beloved wife of Frank Midwood (deceased 2010), passed away peacefully with family at her side at Rideaucrest Home in Kingston on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013. She was in her 89th year.
Mary, Mom, Gramma took tremendous pride in her family, and she will be missed greatly. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Dale (Judy) of North Otter Lake and David (Maureen) of Courtice. She was extremely proud of her five grandchildren: Katie, Jonathan, Andrew, Matthew and Sydney.
Mary grew up on a farm near Bond Head, worked in Toronto where she met “the love of her life”, and moved to Barrie where she worked for many years as secretary to the Superintendent of the OPP and in the office of architects Salter and Allison. She loved the retreat she and Frank built in Haliburton, and all of the gatherings with friends and family at 33 Rose Street (the Bauldrys - Grace and Bud, Kenneth, Peter and Gayle and the Garvins, Doris, Jack and Janet). When they moved to Kingston, Mary and Frank enjoyed over twenty years in their "cozy little house" on Florence Street. She was especially close to her sister and best friend Grace who passed away in 2008. Most of all she "Mame" loved Frank "Hank”, and she would often comment on how they were inseparable...and they were, for over 62 years. Now they will be “Together Forever”. A funeral service will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment will take place in the spring at St. Paul's Cemetery. Words of condolence may be forwarded to family at www.steckleygooderham.com.
