Mrs. Mary Louise Hamilton (Dyment)
October 12, 1930 – December 31, 2014
Mary, in her 85th year, passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, December 31st. Caring wife of Jack (deceased) and loving mother of Margo (Dale), John (Norah) and Lance (Aideen). Proud grandparent of Georgina, Jack, Meredith, Liam, and Katherine. Mary was predeceased by her brothers William and John and is survived by her sisters Jane and Barbara.
Mary was a proud Barrie resident with deep roots in the community and a graduate of Barrie Central Collegiate. An honourary lifetime member (70+ years) of the Barrie Country Club and very active in the communities in which she resided, Barrie, Ontario and St. Augustine, Florida, she was known by many and loved by all for her high energy, distinct sense of humour and caring nature.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham funeral home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday January 6, 2015 from 7 pm to 9 pm. A service will be held the following day, at Trinity Anglican Church 24 Collier St., Barrie on Wednesday January 7th starting at 12 noon, followed by a reception at the Barrie Country Club.
