MITCHELL, Mary Louise, nee Sherring - (December 29, 1923 - March 9, 2014) Mary was the cherished wife of the late Robert Mitchell. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Frederick George Sherring and Mabel Violet Sherring (Mansell). She was the loving mother of David (Lisa), Robert (Rhonda) and Elizabeth (Ian Carter), grandmother to Shawn (Suzanne), Peter (Cindy), Lindsay (Chris), Victoria (Jordan), Keith (Kirsten), Andrew, Heather and Owen, and great-grandmother to MacKenzie, Katherine, Hannah and Amelia. Most of Mary's life was spent living in Barrie, Ontario raising a family and serving as an active member of Trinity Anglican Church and the Auxiliary at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, and latterly, at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Minesing. Mary will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew her. A special thank you is extended to all of the staff at Landmark, Extendicare and Northumberland Hills Hospital for their exceptional care and support of Mary and her family. Cremation has taken place. Visitation, memorial service and interment are to be held in the spring in Barrie, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
