Maureen Rosemarie Hreljac (Walsh)
May 3, 1938 – Jan. 9, 2017
Surrounded by family and friends, Maureen Hreljac (Walsh) passed away peacefully at home in her 79th year. Beloved wife of devoted husband John for 57 years. Loving and wonderful mom to daughter Ramona, (Graham) and son Glenn. Best and proudest Gramma ever to Nick (Sarah) and Taryn. Great sister to brother Bud (Sherrill) and Auntie “Meen” to their children. Will be dearly missed by family, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Mom was a Sudbury gal, daughter of Franklin and Mary (Markle) Walsh (both deceased). Settling in Barrie in 1971, mom worked HR, Georgian College which she loved until retirement. She was blessed to spend many wonderful times at their island on Ministic Lake and at their AZ home.
Maureen was so fortunate to enjoy many happy years which brings us all comfort. She had a vibrant personality with a contagious laugh and always said, “try to find the humor in everything!” Mom has left us all with wonderful memories, the days will not be the same without her.
