After a short but courageous battle with cancer at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, September 6th, 2012. Melissa, cherished daughter of Linda LaCouvée and the late Murray Shea. Loving sister to Jennifer and Russell. Good fortune didn't always come her way, but those who came Melissa’s way were truly fortunate to have met her, to have known her and to have been loved by her. A short-lived life…but a selfless heart, ever-giving, and a generous soul, ever-lasting. Melissa will live with us and enrich our lives forever. She taught us many things, but most importantly Melissa taught us: courage, grace, kindness, humor, patience and the immeasurable value of every moment we’re granted in this world. There will be a celebration of Melissa's life and legacy at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Road, Barrie on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5 - 8 pm.
